ABOUT US
Youth Connection, based in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, has been performing award-winning theatre productions, concerts, and shows at both local and professional venues for 40 years. These include the Gala Theatre Durham, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the National Theatre in London and performances for the Royal Family. Further afield, we have also performed in tours of France, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and Russia.
OUR PERFORMANCES
We have has earned our positive reputation because of our dedication, commitment and drive towards producing a professional level of performance in everything we do. We have a large following who attend our theatre productions, as well as a large pool of groups who book us for private functions. With one or two full scale productions each year, an annual winter concert and on average one private performance every month, we certainly keep ourselves busy!

Theatrical Productions
Though we enjoy all the projects we undertake, our favourite moments come from our full productions. We usually put on one or two big productions each year, which are currently performed at Park View Community Theatre, Chester-le-Street. HAWAY AND JOIN US!

We are a proper canny bunch of folk from all walks of life. We welcome new members of all ages, to train and work in a variety of areas such as, acting, dance, singing, design, technical engineering, cosume design and set construction.
Performing together is a great way to build confidence, learn new skills and, most of all, make great new friends. We also welcome parents and guardians who would like to reignite their old passion for theatre and community involvement!
Rehearsals usually take place at Ouston Community Centre, DH2 1RJ, on Thursdays 7:30-9:30pm, although we do tend to rehearse more around show time!
We do charge a small amount for participation, but, being a charity, all moneys go straight to our funds to ensure our productions are top notch and we can continue to fund venue rental as well as production costs. We do not charge extra for additional rehearsals we may encounter in the weeks leading up to performances as we believe these are vital to ensure performances are polished and perfected. We've always had the same aim; to engage and involve as many people as we can, young and old, to enjoy what theatre and community involvement has to offer.
So, why not come along and be a part of the next 40 years? For further details, please click the link below and tell us a little about yourself!
We also welcome applications from parents and guardians on behalf of dependents. Youth Connection fully inclusive and embraces an equal opportunities ethos.
