THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS

Godspell (Sept 2022)
Autumn 2022 will see YC bring a reimagined and creative interpretation of one of the group's favourite shows to the stage at Park View Community Theatre. Tickets are on sale now via our Tickets page.

Independent Means (July 2022)
Following our successful run at the Durham Fringe 2021, we were invited back to perform at the 2022 Fringe! This year we brought the play Independent Means, the chilling tale of the Brides in the Bath Murders! From the same writer as The Lucky Durhams, this clever piece was a hit with all who came to see it.

Fame! The Musical (March 2022)
After being pulled from the stage during our dress rehearsal and postponed for two years due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it was incredible to bring this high energy show to our audience! With bags of talent on stage with new and existing members, we really will remember this ones name!

Winter Concert 2021
Our annual celebration of the talent within the group was split across two nights this year, to ensure social distancing could be achieved within the audience, in line with government guidelines during the Coronavirus pandemic. Even though we performed to a sea of masked faces, the appreciation and support from the audience could be felt when they cheered the roof off after every song!

Come to the Cabaret (July 2021)
Our second show at the Durham Fringe 2021 showcased the singing talent within our group. Revisiting our Come to the Cabaret concert from two years ago, it was great to be performing to sell-out crowds once more after the Covid break!

The Lucky Durhams (July 2021)
We were honoured to be invited to perform at the first ever Durham Fringe Festival in 2021! It was only fitting that we took one of our Edinburgh Fringe favourites, The Lucky Durhams and perform it in its namesake city.

Fame! The Musical (March 2020)
This brilliant and legendary show was pulled from the stage during the final dress rehearsal due to the announcement of a national lockdown to stem the spread of the Coronavirus. A great show that we are determined to bring back to the stage when it is safe to do so!

Winter Concert 2019
This year we performed to a packed out church, with a full house of 250 people! With songs performed by our younger members, two piano solos from two of the group and also a surprise marriage proposal, it was certainly one we won't be forgetting!

Come to the Cabaret (Apr 2019)
As we are always testing and trying new methods of performing, this was certainly a new venture for us. We booked out two local Social Clubs and performed two sell out cabaret-style nights. This event gave us a great opportunity to showcase some of the great new talent that we have in the group and it is certainly a format we will revisit!

Lucky Durhams (Aug 2018)
For a second year running we took the original play, The Lucky Durham's, up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. An incredible experience and a fitting tribute to all of those who gave their lives fighting in the trenches 100 years ago. Lest we forget.

Our House (July 2018)
For the second time in our group's history we brought the house down with the high-energy, fast paced, foot stomping modern classic that is the Madness musical: Our House!
Our minimalist set was brought to life by creative lighting from Hi-Lights and our adrenaline was fuelled by the raucous live band, helping us deliver memorable renditions of the shows big numbers.
Here's a list of all of our past productions, from 1984 and our beginnings at Roseberry Comprehensive School, up to our current performances at our new home at Park View Community Theatre.
