The Drama Tree opens the door to performing arts for those aged 8-14. We aim to give them the opportunity to learn while also making new friends and growing their self confidence. 

 

Based in the Chester-le-Strict District, the Drama Tree is always growing and with a number of performances throughout the year there's always something exciting around the corner.

With training on improvisation, scripted work, movement and singing, the hard work is sure to lead to a polished production!

The Drama Tree aims to stage two main productions each year, on top of a number of concert performances to raise funds and showcase their talent. Previous performances have taken place at venues such as the Gala Theatre, Durham, as well as performing at events for the Lord Mayor of Durham and honoured guests. 
​
They are also given the opportunity to perform alongside Youth Connection in the annual Winter Concert at Chester-le-Street Methodist Church.   
​
These performances are not just an opportunity for families to see how well the members have developed, but they also help our members gain experience in the fun and pressure of getting up on stage.
