Youth Connection Theatre Company has a number of ways of collecting, storing and using your information. Direct use includes our mailing list, ticket bookings and contact forms. 

Indirect use includes ways including cookies, such as usage analysis. We strive to be open about the information we handle and store, with the following policy detailing how your data and details are used.

What type of information do we collect?

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; e-mail address; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, and personal profile.

How do we collect information?

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, telephone number, address and email address. 

 

When you voluntarily fill in our ‘Get In Touch’ form or contact us via email, the data you supply us will be stored in our database.

When booking tickets we request that you supply your telephone number. This will be used to notify you directly of any cancellations or issues with online payments.

When you use or view our website, via your browser’s cookies (see below for more on Cookies).

 

Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

Why do we collect such personal information?

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Services;

  2. To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

  3. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

  4. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners (Wix.com) may use to provide and improve our respective services;

How do we store, use, share and disclose our site visitors' personal information?

www.ycdurham.co.uk is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

 

In addition to this, any data entered in the 'Get In Touch' form is also directed to our contact email address, info@youth-connection.org.uk. If you have ticked the “Subscribe to mailing list” option, your data will be used as part of our mailing list email campaigns to notify you of our next production. This information is stored in a secure, private database, which is not transferred or sold to any third party. Clicking “unsubscribe” from the mailing list email will delete your details from the database within one month of the instruction.

If you would like to be removed from the mailing list without using the "unsubscribe" function, you can instruct us to do so via email at info@youth-connection.org.uk

 

When booking tickets online, your details will be held in our Wix.com database for up to one month after the performance. These contact details will allow us to notify you of any changes/cancellations to the performance. After the performance we will use your details to send you a one-off ’Thank You’ email, which will also contain links to our social media platforms and the option to subscribe to our mailing list.

How do we communicate with our site visitors?

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail, depending on the information we have for you. 

 

We may also contact you via the Live Chat on the website, to offer advice to site visitors.
